It's a relaxing hand drawn strategy game about light and shadow.

You play as a group of shadow fairies scattered in a dark forest, threatened by a mysterious glowing orb. The lost fairies have to find each other and gather under a tree to combine their power and find a way back home. They always have to anticipate which spots the light may hit in the turn, because once hit by light, a fairy petrifies.

Enter a strange hand drawn forest full of light and shadow puzzles, dangers and surprises. Discover a cute story line and help the fairies get home.

The game inspired by the game "Waldschattenspiel", a board game I played as a kid.

Key Features:

  • Dynamic and tactical game play Find creative paths in the shadows. Always anticipate where light will be in the next turn and plan your moves.
  • Hand drawn environment The main game assets are drawn with water color and ink. Explore a unique art style
  • A chill but challenging experience Meet me in the Shadows is a calm game with little frustration and lots of enjoyment for art and sound. A stage can be replayed as often as you like. Still some puzzles are tricky.

The first version of this game was developed for Game Makers Toolkit 2019 under the theme "Only One".

Wow ! There are a lot of work here and graphicly it's awesome ! Sadly I hardly manage to play and enjoy :'(
Maybe you should make something easier next time, and concentrate on technical doability (3D is usually a lot more work, and casting ray well... you did'nt made it easier !)

Keep on jaming :)

Hey, Thanks for playing and your feedback. Please check the update I just released :)

Cheers!
